Minato is one of the star writes of the Seasonelle team at Shiki publishing. He’s extremely confident about his work and about himself, and is popular at work among the girls in the office. He says what’s on his mind and is demanding, and teases the CM by calling the MC all sorts of nicknames.
The MC is shocked to find out that she and Minato will be living under the same roof, and is even more surprised when she finds out that she’s been transferred to the Seasonelle team. It’s her dream to work in the Seasonelle team, but at the same time she doesn’t know what to think about it; she’ll be bumping into Minato at both work and home now. She’s unsure of what to think of Minato; he’s mean to her, but once in a while he’ll do or say something that shows that he really does care about her.
The MC knew that Minato was popular at work, and admired him as part of the Seasonelle team. After living with Minato, she finds out that he has chinks in his armor like everyone else; she starts to see him in a new light, and relates to him a bit more. Their relationship changes dramatically when she’s ordered to go out with Minato for an article that they’re writing together; neither of them understand love, so they start “dating” to learn more about it.
Personally, I found the situation of this route highly unlikely. But then again, I’m not playing these games because they’re all realistic. The fake relationship scenario is what makes them start to have feelings for each other, but it seemed a bit rushed. I found the juxtaposition of their ideas of love interesting; Minato is experienced in dating, but doesn’t want to get it deep, while the MC isn’t as experienced and is much more emotional and serious about relationships. Getting Minato to open up and trust her was something I liked in this route; you can’t have a relationship without mutual trust.
It’s been a while since I’ve played this route, and I enjoyed replaying it. I can’t wait to replay all the other OTBS routes. Happy playing!
