With Soryu being the newly appointed head of the Ice Dragons, the time he shares with the MC becomes precious and few when the responsibilities that come with his position continue to pile up. The MC finds herself keeping quiet about things so Soryu doesn’t have more to worry about, but things turn complicated when Murata, a delivery boy she’s befriended, confesses his feelings to her! Soryu finds out the confession, and does the unthinkable by suggesting they break up?!
While Soryu’s Living Together route focused on the MC’s position within the Ice Dragons as Soryu’s girlfriend, this route focuses more on the personal relationship between the two as they struggle to learn how to solve things together in their relationship instead of just keeping things to themselves out of concern for the other. Both the MC and Soryu are extremely selfless when it concerns the other, and as Baba says it, both of them try to do more than they can instead of just being themselves.
Soryu’s position as the leader in the Ice Dragons has made him used to putting up a strong front in the presence of others, and with his new position as the head of the mob, he’s more concerned with keeping appearances than ever since he has to establish a strong leadership under his name. This causes the MC to feel insecure about whether or not she lets Soryu be his “true” self around her and relax (when he really just doesn’t want her to worry about him), and she starts to hide things from him because she doesn’t want to give him more things to worry about. Soryu in turn sees that as her distancing herself from him, and you can see misunderstanding building on top of one another from this =___=;; It isn’t until things get really out of hand that they face one another and tell each other what they really think, and I absolutely loved the MC in the end. Her determination to keep their relationship together is what saves it, and it was nice to see her stand her ground and speaking her mind after trying worrying over everything throughout the entire route.
There were a lot of cute moments in the beginning of this route, especially right after they adopt a puppy into their home (/w\) This route addressed a serious issue in their relationship, and both Soryu and the MC learn the importance of communicating to each other, even if it might not always be good news to share. While some people might fault the MC for being “wishy-washy”, I personally didn’t mind it that much; you can see that she really cares for Soryu throughout the entire route. The love triangle in this route hurt because the other man was a real cutie ; w ;
If you’ve liked Soryu in his previous routes, then you’ll most likely like him in this route as well. However, he doesn’t appear as often as I would’ve liked him to because of his duties back in Hong Kong; hopefully this won’t be a pattern in his future routes as well ; A ; I can’t wait to see how their relationship will change in season 3 when they go move to London, and it looks like Voltage has more than three seasons planned for KBTBB based on the tabs for the story selections! Happy playing!
