My Wedding and 7 Rings: Initial Thoughts

MWA7R opening image

After the success of My Forged Wedding, why wouldn’t Voltage try to make more money off the concept that their top moneymaker was based on? Like My Forged Wedding, My Wedding and 7 Rings is based on the situation of being in a “fake” marriage and ending up with genuine feelings for one another in the end. However, unlike MFW, where the MC and the male leads try their best not fall for each other, MWA7R takes the situation and twists it so that the goal is for the two to develop genuine and long-lasting feelings for each other. A quick update because Voltage is dumb

That’s right, you read it right. I thought it was weird that there was so little updates for the second half of March, and when I checked their catalogue for the first half of April this morning, I wanted to throw my phone at the wall (you think I’m kidding but I’m not).

There’s a ton of releases for April, and while it’s a good thing for some, it’s not for me since I get everything and have to write reviews for them all ; w ; There’s scheduled to be 13 long routes (main stories/sequels), and out of those 13, I’ll be writing reviews for 11 of them. I’m expecting Asahi’s and maybe even Yamato’s releases for My Wedding and 7 Rings as well, so make those numbers 15 and 13 respectively. So in the next two weeks, look out for the following on here:

  • OTBS – Tsumugu season 1 sequel
  • OTBS – Chiaki season 2 Don’t tell him I’m Popular!
  • SCM – Teorus season 1 main story
  • KBTBB – Eisuke season 2 Twist of Fate
  • FILA – Yuto season 1 sequel
  • FILA – Aki season 2 Proposal (they haven’t stated what it would be called yet)
  • MSB – Goto wedding sequel
  • DDIWT – Rei season 2 main story and sequel
  • MFW – Akito season 2 main story
  • FLD – Mitsuru season 2 senior year
  • SITS – Nagito season 1 main story (and possibly sequel)
  • MWA7R – Asahi season 1 main story (and possibly sequel)
  • MWA7R – Yamato season 1 main story (possible release)

As you can see, that’s a lot of stories being released *sweats nervously*

I’m probably going to have to put off catching up with EITM and MPDCTY because I want to replay Yamato and Ren’s routes in MFW and post reviews/walkthroughs for those first before playing their routes in MWA7R. The worst thing Voltage could do to me right now is start releasing EITM season 2 routes so I’m forever behind =___=

If you want to see the full list of releases, you can check the post I made here, or you can view Voltage’s catalogue here. The catalogue was made to be viewed on phones, so I don’t know how nice it’ll look on your computer screen =___=;;

I hope you guys have a great day! I’m going to go back to wishing that Voltage had a more consistent release schedule and stressing over how I’m going to find the time to write all these reviews/walkthroughs *stressing intensifies* (darn you, Voltage)

Hello yes I am a terrible person

So remember that long post of updates I promised in the beginning of December?… If not it’s okay you don’t have to worry about it ^___^;;

I obviously didn’t anticipate anime sucking away all my time over break. You can blame sports anime for keeping me away from otome over break ; w ;

Words can’t express how sorry I am about the lack of updates. I’ll be posting Ishigami and Shusuke’s routes from HLITF in this week, as well as Kirisawa’s routes in MPDCTY and Subaru from MSB. If I can I’ll be trying to squeeze in Kyoichi and Haruka’s routes from MFW as well, but no guarantees since the semester is starting for me this week. Ahh uni how I hate you ; A ;

But yeah updates will be more regular now since uni is happening so that means I have more time to procrastinate and play otome. Please don’t follow my example if you want to succeed in life lol

Thank you for sticking around even updates have been sparse. I’ll definitely ensure that they’ll be more regular now! >w<

Hello everyone!

Hi there! *waves*

This week has been super busy for me, so otome games kinda took the back seat for a while =__=;; I had to pull three all nighters since I had three projects and an exam this week ㅠ____ㅠ Finals week is next, but since I only have one final and it’s on the last day, I’ll have more time to relax and play otome while avoiding studying for it taking study breaks >w<

Routes that I’ll update within the next few days:

  • Our Two Bedroom Story
    • Akiyoshi Zaizen season 2 The Proposal
  • Kissed by the Baddest Bidder
    • Mistunari Baba’s season 1 routes, season 2 Living Together
    • Ota Kisa’s season 1 routes, season 2 Living Together
    • Mamoru Kishi’s season 1 routes, season 2 Living Together (if it gets released)
  • The Men of Yoshiwara
    • Kagerou main volume
    • Iroha 2nd season main volume

I’m super excited to get finals over and done with so I can play more otome over break =w= I’ll mostly be replaying old Voltage routes so I can write walkthroughs and reviews for them, and plan on playing other games in D3’s Forbidden Romance series as well as NTT Solmare’s Shall we date? series. Hopefully I can finish Hakuouki as well, since it’s almost a year since I’ve gotten and I still haven’t finished yet I’m sorry I’m a terrible person. If I have time I’m going to play Dandelion and Nameless, both by the company Cheritz. I’ve only heard good things about either games, and have been meaning to play them in forever.

I wish everyone luck in the next few days, whether it’s the last week of school, finals, or if you’re lucky, neither of them! Remember to destress once in a while, and good luck! >w<

Thoughts on True Love Sweet Lies

otogeopinions

Making walkthroughs for these are hard because I’ll start panicking when I’m on the wrong side of the meter, but it’s generally easy to decide which answers will make you move in what direction. These routes will probably take me a bit longer to post walkthroughs for since I have to go through the story twice to get the different endings ; A ;

I wasn’t a big fan of Voltage’s idea on the special end sets. While I do understand that they’re a business, $2.99 seems a bit overpriced for me. I was expecting them to be the same price as an epilogue or even cheaper. I ended up getting them anyway (wow what a surprise) and did enjoy them, but I’m still debating whether I want to buy any more in the future. If this is just for the main stories, then I might. If it continues on for the sequels and future routes, then I probably won’t, seeing as I could buy a sub story with that money instead.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from the game, but the situation seems to be close to LLFTX (which I haven’t played. I’m sorry I promise I will soon once I find the time *sobs*) I enjoyed the game a lot more than I thought I would. There’s action and romance, and while some routes focus on one more than the other, there seems to be a good balance between the two on the two routes that were released so far. The character personalities may also affect the ratio between action and romance for plot reasons (IMO). The Nanahoshi twins are just play tug of war with my heart (but Sakuya won. Sorry Kiyo XD)

On a side note, I keep misspelling Kiyoharu’s name as Kiyoshi (I did it again as I typed this =___=;;)

some changes

So after getting feedback from tumblr and reading a few comments here, I’ve decided to make my reviews more opinion based, since many of you seem to dislike an excessive amount of spoilers. I’ll still have a few here and there, but will try to keep them as minimal as possible. I’ll probably go back and rewrite a few of my really summary-heavy reviews. Thank you for letting me know! >w<

Some random ramblings

Hello everyone!

Finally got around to posting my first non-Voltage review and walkthrough XD I’ve been eyeing the Forbidden Romance series by D3 Publisher for a while now, and was super excited when they got released in the play store. They’re rather steamy >////<

I’ve realized that my reviews have been getting longer and longer summaries of the route in them. This is probably because I started writing the review while playing the route (I used to write them after I finished them). Just wondering if anyone has a preference? Like longer or shorter summaries, or if there are certain things you want me to include in my reviews. If you do, please let me know!

On a side note, this blog got over 10,000 views?? 0____0 Thank you so much for visiting! Whether you’re a more recent visitor or have been following me for a while, I appreciate it. It’s always nice to know that someone’s reading my ramblings on these games XD

I hope everyone has a great day/night wherever they are and enjoyed their weekend! >w<

Hello there!

Hello there! This is just an introductory post on what my hopes for this blog are.

I started playing otome games this year and got hooked. Right now my current obsession is the mobile games offered by Voltage Inc, but after I’m done catching up with those I plan on spending more time playing other otome games in different platforms.

I’ve been wanting to start a blog just based on otome games for a while, and finally got around to doing it. When I first started playing otome games, I sped through all the games that I could get. Now that I look back, I didn’t get to fully enjoy the stories. I want to go back and play through the stories again, taking my time to enjoy them.

Here you’ll see walkthroughs and reviews on the games/routes that I’ve played. I’ll also be posting a few of my own opinions on otome games, and will try to update this blog with news of upcoming games as well.

I’m a college student, so updates may come slowly due to the high work load I get during the school year. However, I will try to keep updating this website, so please continue to visit!

Thank you for visiting, and I hope to see you again!
